About Baja ...The Peninsula of Baja California is a earth arm that has an area of 143.600 km2, without including the islands that border approximately 3000 km of coast. These islands add other 1500 km to the peninsular territory. One is bathed by waters of the Pacific Ocean (to the west and the south later) and separated of the rest of the Mexican territory in the northeast by the Colorado River and by the Gulf of California or Sea of Cortez.
